Based in Bermuda, Gary is the Head of SPES and is a director of many companies and alternative investment funds. He is involved with initial account set-up, structuring, and issue resolution, in addition to ongoing involvement with fund management.
Previous Experience
Before joining Schroders, Gary worked for seven years in senior financial positions in the insurance, re-insurance, and commercial shipping industries. In this period, Gary concentrated on investment portfolio management, life and general insurance, re-insurance, financial re insurance, insolvency and recovery and management of the financial operations of a major shipping line operating the North Atlantic and European trade routes.
Qualifications
Gary has a Business Administration (Hons) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada and is both a Certified Management Accountant and Chartered Accountant. Gary is also a NASD Direct Participation Plan Registered Principal as well as a Financial and Operations Principal.

| Nicola Walker |

Nicola is the Head of Private Equity Services in Guernsey. She relocated from Bermuda to Guernsey to ensure the continuity of quality client service between both offices. Nicola specialises in fund structuring, fund legal matters, and compliance issues.
Previous Experience
Nicola joined Schroders' Bermuda office in 1992. She was a part of the management team of SPES as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer before relocating to Guernsey.
Qualifications
Nicola holds a BA (Hons) degree in Modern European Studies from Trent University, England, a post graduate bilingual diploma in French, German and Economics from Ealing University, England and is a Chartered Secretary.

| Scott Burns |

Scott is the Head of Private Equity Services in Bermuda and is responsible for the operations of the Private Equity business. Scott also oversees the US tax research and reporting functions, and is involved with the development of the information technology strategy.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Schroders in 1996, Scott spent three years in the US tax practice of KPMG in Atlanta, USA, followed by two years with the public accounting firm of Windham Brannon, also in Atlanta, where he specialised in partnership tax planning.
Qualifications
Scott holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting from West Georgia College, USA, a Masters of Science degree from Georgia State University, USA with a concentration in Taxation and is a Certified Public Accountant.

| Gordon Purvis |

Gordon is the Head of Operations for SPES in Guernsey and is responsible for maintaining the operating procedures, as well as coordinating consistent procedures across the Group. Gordon worked previously for Schroders in Bermuda as Head of the Finance Department.
Previous Experience
Before joining Schroders in 1998, Gordon worked as an Audit Supervisor for Stoy Hayward in London before taking a role as an accountant in the head office of Boustead Plc. Relocating to Bermuda, Gordon first worked as an Assistant Vice President at International Risk Management (Bermuda) Limited, a locally-based captive insurance management company.
Qualifications
Gordon has a degree in Statistical Economics from Hull University, England and is a Chartered Accountant.

Nicola Simon
|

Nicky is the Head of Accounting and Reporting for SPES in Guernsey, where she is responsible for the production of all financial reporting for both Private Equity funds and Schroder group companies.
Previous Experience
Nicky was an auditor with KPMG for three years, then an internal auditor with the Bank of Bermuda in Guernsey for four years prior to joining Schroders in December 1997. She was the financial controller for Schroders (C.I.) Limited (the Private Bank) before transferring to SPES in October 2004.
Qualifications
Nicky completed the Accountancy Foundation Course at University of Plymouth before qualifying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

| Ryan Mathison |

Ryan is the Head of Accounting and Reporting for SPES in Bermuda. He is responsible for the accounting and reporting functions for the Private Equity funds and provides technical accounting advice to the service teams on complex accounting issues.
Previous Experience
Ryan had nine years of progressive public accounting experience before joining Schroders. His experience included servicing several Private Equity clients over a three year period at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he left as a Senior Manager in assurance.
Qualifications
Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Manitoba, Canada and is a Chartered Accountant.

| Maria Higgins |

Maria is the Head of Compliance and Tax for SPES. In this role, she manages the US tax reporting function and oversees compliance for the Private Equity group.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Schroders in 2001, Maria spent five years in the US tax practice of KPMG in Kansas City, USA and in Bermuda. Previous to this, she worked as an accountant for an international engineering firm in Kansas City.
Qualifications
Maria has a BSc (Hons) degree in Finance from Kansas State University, USA and is a Certified Public Accountant.

| Katrina Nusum Charles |

Katrina is the Head of Corporate Governance for SPES and is responsible for the company's legal and corporate matters, compliance and risk issues and its business continuity program.
Previous Experience
Before joining Schroders, Katrina worked in KPMG Bermuda's tax department as a US Tax Specialist and held the position of Compliance Officer for Butterfield Bank's retail and fund services departments.
Qualifications
Katrina graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Stanford University, USA, a Juris Doctor from Emory Law, USA and is a member of the New York State bar.
