Value investors try to take an unemotional view of risk vs. reward and accept that one cannot be considered without the other. To ascertain whether value is on offer, you must decide at what price you are fairly compensated for the risk that is being taken. Frequently investors place too much emphasis on either risk or reward without considering them together.
