Martin heads the Schroders Wealth Management US Team specialising in international wealth and investment management for both US residents and internationally based US clients. Martin has over 25 years’ experience in advising and growing clients’ wealth utilising stock market investments and working in partnership with clients’ other professional advisors. Prior to joining Schroders, Martin was the Head of Americas at the Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management International in London and before that was Head of Private Wealth Management for Kleinwort Benson. Martin is a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in the USA and holds the Uniform Investment Advisor Law qualification with the Financial Industry Regulation Authority (FINRA).
Janette joined in 2017 as a Director for the Schroders Wealth Management specialising in international wealth and investment management for both US resident and internationally based US clients. Janette has over 30 years’ experience in advising and growing clients’ wealth, working in partnership with clients’ other professional advisors. Prior to joining Schroders, Janette worked at the Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management International in London as a Relationship Manager for US centric clients and previous to that was a Director at Barclays Private Banking. Janette is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in the USA and also holds the Uniform Investment Advisor Law qualification with the Financial Industry Regulation Authority (FINRA).
Based in London, Michael is a Portfolio Director for Schroders Wealth Management US Team. Michael’s experience includes providing specialist wealth management advice to US individuals with specific investment requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Schroders, Michael worked as an Investment Counsellor at Royal Bank of Canada (Wealth Management) for 8 years where he was responsible for providing bespoke investment advice to high net worth American clients. Michael has also worked at Barclays Capital in their Corporate Lending Team, which was responsible for debt origination, structuring and transaction execution.
Head of Operations - Americas Team
Jacob joined in 2017 and is Head of Operations for the Schroder Wealth Management US Team which provides investment services to US resident and internationally based US clients. Based in London, Jacob is responsible for the team’s technical and operational efficiency. Prior to joining Schroders, Jacob worked with the Americas team at the Royal Bank of Canada, Wealth Management International providing investment solutions for US, South American and Caribbean ultra-high net worth families. Before RBC, Jacob worked in sales for an independent macroeconomic research consultancy.
Richard Jeffrey is Chief Economist at Cazenove Capital and is responsible for the macro-economic framework that supports the investment process. He joined in 2008. Since completing a Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics, Richard has worked as a professional macroeconomist and market strategist. Richard has 37 years’ investment experience and appears frequently on radio and television and writes for a number of journals. He works with a number of think-tanks and academic organisations and currently sits on the Finance Committee of Bristol University.
Chief Investment Officer
Caspar Rock joined Cazenove Capital in September 2016 and is Chief Investment Officer. He joined from Architas Multi-Manager Ltd, a part of the AXA group, where he was Chief Investment Officer and responsible for all aspects of the investment activities, including investment philosophy, process and team. He also oversaw portfolio management at two of AXA group’s private banks. He previously headed up the multi-manager business at AXA Framlington from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he managed a range of directly invested equity and bond portfolios, and was Head of European Equities at Framlington as well as a member of the Healthcare team. He has 29 years’ investment experience.
Head of Manager Selection
Stuart Derrick is Head of Manager Selection. He joined in 2004 as part of the charities team before later moving to the investment team to focus on fund selection. Stuart started his investment career at Baring Asset Management in 1998. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) certificate and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He has also completed the London Business School Foundation and Endowment Asset Management Course.
Head of Investment Strategy
Kieron joined in 2011 and was previously the Head of the Strategic Advisory Group at Rothschild Private Management. Prior to his 8 years at Rothschild, Kieron spent 15 years at Citigroup as a Proprietary Trader in Volatility Arbitrage and later in the Private Bank. His investment career started in 1987 when he joined Samuel Montagu & Co. Ltd.
Head of Fixed Income
Alex Smitten joined in 2000 where he managed the Income Trust for Charities and the UK Corporate Bond Fund. Alex is now Head of Fixed Income and is a member of the Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining Cazenove Capital, he was at Intercapital, where he set up the agency bond broking desk. Alex spent nine years at TSB/Hill Samuel where he was responsible for proprietary bond activity on behalf of the Group. Alex graduated from City University with a degree in Banking and International Finance. He has 29 years of investment experience.
Janet is a Global Economist working in the Investment Strategy Team and a CFA charterholder. She joined in 2011 and previously worked in Citi Hong Kong as an analyst in Global Portfolio Management and subsequently as a relationship manager to multi-national clients. Janet graduated with a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics (first class honours), holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Cambridge and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Econometrics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
