One year on from the collapse of Lehman Brothers, markets continue to tread carefully upwards with the S&P 500 breaking through 1000 and the FTSE 100 heading above 5000. Despite this improvement in risk appetite, memories of the past 18 months remain etched in the minds of many investors, and low market volumes signal continuing caution.
