The
timing
One of the biggest investment themes of the next 20 years
Across the globe, governments and world agencies are making huge investments to tackle climate change.
It is estimated that globally, $20 trillion will need to be spent on new power generation infrastructure by 20301. This is to meet the rising number of new laws which demand a reduction in the use of carbon-based power.
This sentiment is also echoed in the Stern Report2. It indicates that markets for low-carbon energy products are likely to be worth at least $500bn per year by 20503.
Growth potential on such a global scale confirms for us that climate change is one of the biggest investment themes of the next 20 years.
