Paul has been in the banking industry since 1980, performing various roles across corporate banking and trade finance before moving to private banking in 1987. He joined Kleinwort Benson in 1990 where he was responsible for credit and managing the banking business, including the provision of structured finance.

Having joined Schroders in 2003 as Head of Banking and Treasury, Paul was Chief Executive from December 2005 to May 2008. He now works as a special adviser to the business.
