Schroders entered the private equity fund management business in 1983, in response to demands from its institutional investors for access to this asset class. Initially, Schroders acted as sponsor, General Partner, manager and advisor. Today, all of the original advisory teams own and operate separate private equity businesses.

Schroders Private Equity Services, which consists of operations in Bermuda and Guernsey, is the evolution of Schroders’ private equity management and administration team. Key members of management continue to lead the business, making this wealth of cumulative experience available to today's clients. Schroders Private Equity Services currently provides high quality bespoke services to Private Equity Funds, Property Funds, and Fund of Funds.
