Hedge Funds

At the beginning of 2000, Schroders embraced the initiative to build a first class hedge fund operation, based upon the conclusion that hedge funds can provide long-term, sustainable, positive risk-adjusted returns with a low correlation to traditional asset classes.

The programme is aimed to meet our clients’ needs for a disciplined and focused exposure to hedge funds. Our funds of hedge funds provide clients with differing risk/return profiles to implement their portfolio allocation to hedge funds. Our individual hedge funds target strategies that fit with our overall strengths and that we feel are competitive in their respective niches.

To support our hedge fund propositions, we have built a dedicated central team comprising of risk management, operational and marketing staff, in co-ordination with the rest of Schroders’ group extensive resources.
