Christmas Quiz 2018: Take 1

This Christmas, The Value Perspective is running two separate, if similarly structured, quizzes.

This one, in the spirit of goodwill to all, offers the chance to win a £100 donation to a registered charity of your choice while next week's, in the spirit of goodwill to yourself, offers the chance to win a copy of one of our favourite books on investing, The Most Important Thing by Howard Marks.

Each quiz will comprise 12 questions – four picture clues indicating names of companies we hold in our portfolios, here on The Value Perspective; four cryptic crossword clues leading to authors of books that have cropped up on this site over the course of 2018; and, because this is a seasonal quiz after all, four anagrams of films that are set at Christmastime.

If you find yourself stuck on the authors, the date by each of those clues relates to an article in which the relevant name appears.

All correct entries received by noon on 31 December 2018 will be included in the relevant draw to win the book or the £100 donation to a registered charity of your choice.
