Schroders Capital, the US$111.8bn* private markets business of Schroders, today announces the appointment of Sabrina Meng as Head of Schroders Capital Business Development, Asia. This will continue the momentum and strategic expansion of its specialist private markets sales force to drive the firm’s ambitious future growth, with Sabrina joining Schroders Capital on 2 March 2026.
In this new role, Sabrina will be responsible for spearheading business development and sales efforts across Asia. This will include leading and continuing the build-out of its specialist sales team in the region, and deepening and growing client relationships to further establish Schroders Capital as a trusted, specialist private markets partner for both institutional investors and intermediary partners in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Ingo Heinen, Global Head of Schroders Capital Business Development, and become a member of the Asia Client Group Executive Committee.
Sabrina brings 17 years of experience in consulting, investment and fundraising roles across private markets, with deep expertise in particular in private and structured credit, private equity and real assets.
As part of her new role, Sabrina will specifically drive Asia fundraising for Schroders Capital’s Private Debt and Credit Alternatives (PDCA) business, which has US$41.6bn* in assets under management, focusing on specialisms including securitised and asset-based finance, real estate debt, infrastructure debt and insurance-linked securities (ILS). Sabrina’s extensive credit experience will be highly additive as Schroders Capital continues to grow its client franchise across PDCA.
Prior to joining Schroders Capital, Sabrina spent eight years at Oaktree Capital, where she played a key role in building the firm’s Asia franchise, including overseeing fundraising across Greater China and Southeast Asia, as well as driving growth and scaling the firm’s intermediary business. Her previous roles encompass Monument Group, Emerald Hill Capital Partners and Bain & Company.
Ingo Heinen, Global Head of Business Development at Schroders Capital, said:
“This is an exciting hire that brings proven expertise and fundraising success to Schroders Capital, adding to the depth and breadth across our specialist business development team.
“Asia is an important, strategic region and Sabrina’s experience, combined with our deep bench of client relationship experience across Schroders Group and the specialist capabilities within Schroders Capital, will help us continue to unlock opportunities to drive accelerated growth.”
