Singapore-based Showbhik Kalra, Head of Product for Asia Pacific, assumes added responsibility as Head of Intermediary Business, Asia Pacific; a role that was previously held by Lieven Debruyne.
Richard Mountford at Schroders, said:
“We’re delighted to announce these appointments within Schroders’ Asia Pacific team.
“Schroders has had a presence across Asia Pacific for over 40 years and we operate from 10 offices across the region. We manage a large pool of assets on behalf of our clients in Asia Pacific and we are fully committed to further strengthen our position as a leading asset manager in the region.
“The appointment of Lieven, Chris and Showbhik is evidence of our long-term succession planning, and the company’s desire to promote talented individuals from within who understand Schroders’ unique culture.
“Lieven brings with him unrivalled experience and expertise in delivering cross border business strategies and as such is a natural successor in the role. Chris’ deep understanding of the region’s client needs will be of great value in his new position. Showbhik has built a strong knowledge of our Intermediary business, as product is an integral part of our Intermediary sales strategy.
