How to apply

Our handy FAQs include all you need to know before and during your application

Kick off your investment management career

Our graduate program is a two year rotational development program in one of the following areas:

  • Investment
  • Product
  • Solutions
  • Marketing

Start working toward your Investment Management Certificate (IMC)

We'll start you off with in-depth introduction to the industry and an inside view of how we work at Schroders. You'll also take your first steps to a qualification with the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). And you'll start building your personal network with other graduates and senior leaders. This component is optional for U.S. participants.

Stay at the heart of the team from day one

We'll immerse you in real work from the get-go – and at the end of the program, you'll take on a permanent role in the team that best suits your skills and interests.

We welcome applications from final year students or recent grads

That includes undergraduate or masters qualifications. In addition to the personal qualities, intellectual curiosity and appetite for challenge we look for, you'll need to have or be on course to achieving a 2:1 in your studies.

Applications open early fall to start early fall of the next year. So if you're still at university, you should apply at the beginning of your final year.

A dedicated buddy by your side

As well as the encouragement of teammates and line managers, we’ll introduce you to your buddy: usually a graduate from the year above, who’ll help you navigate your programme from the beginning.

Learning and growing

Expect an array of training and development sessions designed to fast track your understanding of the industry and help grow your skills and expertise. We also offer workshops focused on behavioral and cognitive skills, technical understanding and business awareness. And we'll support you to achieve relevant professional qualifications for your role.Like everyone else at Schroders, you'll also have full access to our online learning platform which will help you continue to develop your expertise.

Build your network

Over the two year program, you'll have vast opportunities to attend a number of informal insight events and a lunch and learn series hosted by senior Schroders figureheads across the business. It's excellent exposure and a chance to hear from influential figures, ask your questions, and gain real insight into the business.

From the start, you'll join a network of other graduates and attend training and events with your cohort – a great chance to meet people in the same boat as you and build relationships.

It doesn't matter what you've studied before – we're looking for people who demonstrate drive, passion and motivation and who are excited to work and learn in a fast-moving workplace.
