Schroders Capital Securitized Product & Asset-Based Finance Team appoints COO

LONDON & NEW YORK - Schroders Capital is announcing the appointment of Gina Hartnett who has joined Schroders Capital’s Global Securitized Credit team in the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).Gina will be located in our London office and will report to Michelle Russell-Dowe, Head of Global Securitized Product & Asset-Based Finance. She will be a part of the Investment Committee.

Schroders Global Securitized Product & Asset-Based Finance team has seen robust growth in AUM, from $5B in 2016 when the team joined Schroders to currently overseeing $16B* in AUM invested and committed capital, across liquid alternatives and alternative credit mandates globally.The team is based in New York and London and focusses on the full spectrum of global securitized asset such as mortgage-backed securities (commercial and residential), asset-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations and also originates and invests in secured private debt markets, such as real estate and asset-finance.

Gina was the Head of Distribution - Portfolio Management, Commercial Banking division at Lloyds Bank, where she was responsible for the execution and delivery of a programme of complex structured finance transactions.  With over a decade of securitization experience in major law firms, Gina applies this specialism across governance, best practice and policy-building around capital efficient structured solutions.

Schroder’s Securitized Product & Asset-Based Finance Team is based in New York and London. The team focusses on alternative credit & specialty finance including: securitized products, secured loans, such as real estate loans and asset-based finance.
