Schroders Greencoat appoints Hillary Ripley as Head of Business Development, North America
Appointment reinforces Schroders Greencoat’s conviction in the North American renewable landscape
Schroders Greencoat, a leading global investor in the energy transition, today announces a strategic team expansion as part of the build-out of its business development team.
Hillary Ripley has been appointed Head of Business Development, North America, a newly established role, reflecting growing investor demand to diversify portfolios with energy transition investments, particularly in earlier-stage opportunities, emerging markets and technologies.
Leveraging more than 25 years of capital raising experience across the private infrastructure investment space, Hillary will oversee the team of renewable infrastructure specialists covering North American markets as the firm looks to expand its presence across the continent.
Hillary joins from Igneo Infrastructure Partners, a global, diversified middle-market infrastructure manager, where she was most recently a Senior Director focused on developing the firm’s relationships with public and private institutional investors. She’s also held senior business development roles at leading private markets investors, including Macquarie Asset Management, a global asset manager integrated across public and private markets, and IFM Investors, a global fund manager that invests on behalf of institutional investors globally. She also previously held roles at J.C Flowers & Co. and Fortress Investment Group.
Schroders Greencoat forms part of Schroders Capital, the $99.3 billion specialist private markets business.
Minal Patel, Global Head of Infrastructure, Schroders Capital, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Hillary to the Schroders Greencoat team. Her long infrastructure experience and deep institutional relationships complement our strategy as a global energy transition-focused investment manager and will significantly support Schroders Greencoat’s expansion in the North American institutional investor market.”
