Schroders is today announcing the appointment of Kun Shan as Fund Manager, Asian Fixed Income. Based in Shanghai, Kun is a member of Schroder Investment Management (Shanghai) Limited (Schroders Shanghai), the wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) of Schroders plc in mainland China.
Kun will focus on onshore Chinese government and policy bank bonds, reporting functionally to Julia Ho, Head of Asian Macro, Asian Fixed Income, and locally to Elaine Zhang, General Manager, Schroders Shanghai. This hire will further strengthen the Asian Fixed Income team’s access and coverage in mainland China.
Kun assumes the newly created role in July 2018 with over eleven years of industry experience. Kun holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration, Corporate Finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
Kun joins Schroders from BNP Paribas (China) Limited, where he was Head of Local Markets Strategy, China, responsible for thematic coverage of China Marco, specialising in Chinese credit.
