Schroders, a global investment manager, announced today that it received the 2020 Best Places to Work in Money Management award from Pensions & Investments. This is the third consecutive year Schroders has made the list for a large employer category, representing companies with between 100 to 499 employees.
Presented by Pensions & Investments, the global news source of money management, this ninth-annual survey and recognition program is dedicated to identifying and recognizing the best employers in the money management industry.
Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct a two-part survey process of employers and their employees.
The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies.
Marc Brookman, CEO, North America, said:
“Over its 200-year history, Schroders has adapted to many different financial environments, including the challenging times of today. One thing that has remained consistent, alongside of our commitment to our clients, is our investment in our employees. Our strong culture, emphasis on diversity and inclusion, and community involvement are part of the overall philosophy that contributes to the firm’s success. I am proud to be a part of Schroders and recognized once again as a best place to work and commend our team for continuing to foster our unique company culture, whether in person or virtually.”
Amy B. Resnick, Editor, P&I, said:
“In this very unusual year, we learned again that employers that consider the overall wellbeing of their employees are regarded well. The best employers in 2020 are those that have stepped up with policies and practices to support and protect employees’ physical and emotional health, while continuing to keep the focus on clients’ needs. Our surveys found that the employers on the list were likely to work hard to sustain their corporate cultures, even during times of pandemic lockdowns and continuing to work from home in many cases.”
