Schroders is today announcing the promotion of Andy Howard to the position of Global Head of Sustainable Investment, taking on the leadership of the Sustainable Investment team.
As well as retaining his existing responsibilities in sustainability research, Andy will now oversee the team’s stewardship activities and further drive active ownership across our group. Andy will report to Charles Prideaux, Global Head of Investment.
Andy Howard joined Schroders in 2016 as Head of Sustainable Research and has been instrumental in the development of our proprietary ESG toolkit which contains our market-leading impact measurement tool ‘SustainEx’.
After more than 20 years, Jessica Ground, Global Head of Stewardship, is leaving Schroders to take the next step in her career.
She joined the firm as a graduate in 1997 and held a number of roles within the investment division during this time. She has played an important role in the evolution of Schroders’ approach to stewardship and our sustainability credentials. She leaves with our thanks and best wishes for the future.

Schroders has a long-serving and well-resourced Sustainable Investment team. It comprises of 22 ESG specialists who are responsible for analysis, engagement, voting and facilitating ESG integration into investment processes across teams and asset classes.
Their extensive experience, having spent close to a decade in the investment industry on average, provides a strong platform on which we continue to build.
We are committed to full ESG investment integration across all of our managed assets by the end of 2020. Schroders’ Sustainability Accreditation, which was launched by the firm in 2017, currently encompasses more than 80% of the assets we manage on behalf of our clients.
