Multi-Asset - Investment Update
Global financial markets remain fraught with danger. The overleveraging of the pre and post GFC economies remain highly problematic (Greece is the poster child, but peripheral Europe, Japan, the US and even Australia are battling with significant debt loads). Likewise China, which has carried the Asian region (including Australia) on its' shoulders is also rebalancing and this is likely to increase uncertainty and volatility. We can add to this list the instability in energy prices, the uncertainty around how the globes QE experiment is unwound, the potential for Sydney's house prices bubble to unwind, and by no means least, the actions (or inactions) of the US Federal Reserve as it contemplates its first increase in interest rates in almost a decade. All this against a backdrop of extended valuations in both bonds and equities. In this webinar we look at the current state of financial markets and discuss the prospects for markets as they continue to negotiate these challenges.
