Schroders has marked its 50th anniversary in Bermuda by joining local charity, Keep Bermuda Beautiful, for a clean-up day.
The clean-up marked the end of a week of celebratory events including visits from members of the Schroders family and an investment seminar with special guest speaker Major General Patrick Marriott.
The special guests were joined by staff from Schroders Bermuda, alongside individuals from Schroders’ US, UK, Jersey and Guernsey offices in the clean-up day. Part of the group partnered with a local school - Devonshire Preschool, to clean the area surrounding their school whilst the remaining Schroders helpers cleaned parks and beaches.
Lana Desmond, Managing Director at Schroders Bermuda, commented:
“Volunteering is rooted in Schroders’ corporate purpose and can be expressed by the simple phrase ‘improving futures’. This approach is based on ‘improving the futures’ of four key stakeholders: our people, our clients, our society and our shareholders.”
Our purpose applies as much to volunteering in local schools as it does to reducing our carbon footprint and championing sustainability in the investments we make on behalf of our clients.
