Today marks the first anniversary of Schroder Investment Solutions (SIS). Launched just one year ago, SIS celebrates the ongoing success of its range of low-cost Model Portfolios and Multi-Asset funds.
Schroder Investment Solutions offers financial advisers a choice of active, blended and sustainable approaches across the full risk spectrum, with the aim of satisfying clients’ individual needs at the best value.
Since inception, the range of solutions offered has continued to expand adding further Model Portfolios and Multi-Asset Funds to meet clients’ evolving needs. An important step was the addition of two specialist funds; Schroder Income Portfolio and Schroder Managed Defensive Fund, providing more choice for advisers and clients looking for income and cautious exposure, respectively.
To further demonstrate the diversity of the offering, Schroder Investment Solutions also includes a selection of Sustainable Model Portfolios. The sustainable range has been particularly successful over the past twelve months with the assets under management growing by 59% from launch to April 2022. This aligns with Schroders’ recent adviser survey which revealed that 75% of advisers saw an increase in the number of clients asking for sustainable investment options in 2021.
Another key achievement was being named ‘Best Model Portfolio Service’ at the Professional Adviser Awards 2022. SIS was recognised for the strength of its investment process, the quality of support and communication offered to financial advisers, performance and cost.
Alex Funk, Chief Investment Officer, Schroder Investment Solutions, commented:
“We launched Schroder Investment Solutions against an unprecedented market landscape, and one year later there continues to be a number of headwinds facing advisors and their clients. Despite these challenges, Schroder Investment Solutions has continued to go from strength to strength.
“This success can be attributed to our ongoing focus on delivering high-quality support and reporting, along with a diversified range of model portfolios and funds at competitive prices. Looking ahead, we remain committed to continuing to enhancing our offering to support advisers and their clients.”
Gillian Hepburn, Head of Intermediary Solutions, commented:
“Investment performance is important for advisers who chose to work with a partner to deliver all or some of their centralised investment propositions and therefore, the adviser and their clients remain at the forefront of our solutions business. We recognise that the quality of ongoing support is vital to ensure that advisers can have great quality conversations with their clients and is an area where we continually try to differentiate our offering.
“The breadth of the proposition is crucial and we deliver choice across strategies, risk profiles, price points and accessibility on a broad range of platforms. According to our research, 80% of advisers indicated that they specifically consider environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors as part of their investment selection process and we not only support this with the range of Sustainable Model portfolios but also deliver impact reporting, adviser and client guides, training programmes and webinars.”
