Schroders supports the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) proposed new rules published today which aim to encourage companies to list in the UK.
Peter Harrison, Group Chief Executive, Schroders, said:
“Revitalising London requires a collective effort. Today’s proposals from the FCA are an important part of the puzzle. I am delighted that the FCA has moved swiftly and decisively to enhance the UK market. These important changes are most welcome.
“At their core, the changes are about putting key information in the hands of investors, allowing us to make the best decisions on behalf of our clients, whilst simultaneously providing companies with additional flexibility to help them make the most of their public equity listing.
“We believe these changes put investors back at the heart of the UK’s equity markets and will support our ability to play a crucial role in allocating capital to UK plc.”
