Schroders is thrilled to announce it has scooped three accolades at the Citywire Gender Diversity Awards 2023. These awards recognise companies that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to gender diversity and inclusion within the financial services industry.
The firm was awarded both the "Best Retention Rates” and "Most Improved Retention Rates" awards, showcasing the company's dedication to continuously enhancing its practices and initiatives to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
In addition, Schroders was recognised for having the highest proportion of assets under management (AUM) managed by women through the "Best AUM Split" award.
The winners were selected by a panel of judges who evaluated company-wide gender diversity practices and how companies incorporate gender issues into their investment decisions.
These awards build on Schroders’ progress on inclusion and diversity, having been one of the first firms to set gender diversity targets in 2016, and report on the gender pay gap in 2017. The company has a dedicated inclusion programme, stretching from: local community partnerships, supporting industry networks like the Diversity Project’s Pathway Programme, encouraging grass roots employee networks and implementing recruitment and retention programmes to increase diversity. Last year, Schroders won the Judges' Choice in the 2022 Citywire Gender Diversity Awards.
Sonia Jenkins, Head of Reward, Wellbeing and Inclusion at Schroders said:
“We are proud to be recognised for our achievements in gender diversity and inclusion. At Schroders, we believe that diversity drives innovation and more informed decision-making, ultimately benefiting our clients and wider stakeholders. These awards are a testament to the hard work and time invested in building a culture of conscious inclusion across our organisation."
