Schroders wins Impact Asset Manager of the Year in France

Schroders is delighted to announce that it was awarded ’Asset Manager of the Year‘ at the 2019 Impact Awards in France, recognising the strength of its sustainability research and the holistic approach to measuring impact taken by its pioneering SustainEx tool.

The inaugural Impact awards on Tuesday 11 June saw a number of asset owners and managers gather to recognise the importance of sustainable finance and the growing interest for impact investing.

A jury of French institutional investors, academics and representatives of the sustainable finance community voted for Schroders after a comprehensive entry process which entailed a written submission and an oral presentation to the jury.

SustainEx quantifies the positive and negative impacts companies have on society. The SustainEx analysis helps our analysts, fund managers and clients measure and manage those social and environmental impacts and risks more effectively.

Andy Howard, Head of Sustainable Research at Schroders, commented:

“SustainEx is part of the toolkit we are building to help our analysts, fund managers and clients prepare for the pressures companies will face as social and environmental trends intensify. Robust, transparent quantification of companies’ performances is critical to embedding ESG analysis into investment decisions, which we are committed to establishing and improving across Schroders.  We are delighted that those efforts are recognised with this award.”

Karine Szenberg, Head of Europe at Schroders, said:

“Sustainability has become strategically important for French and European investors and impact solutions are an increasingly significant dimension of sustainable finance. SustainEx provides a holistic answer to our clients requirements for impact measurement and risk analysis. Congratulations to the whole Sustainability team for this well-deserved recognition.”
