The impact we have on society and the environment is at the centre of our approach to corporate responsibility. We focus on driving progress and improving futures by acting in the most responsible way possible towards the environment and society. Whether it’s by creating a lasting positive impact in our society; or embracing our own people through our commitment to diversity, inclusion and well-being.
Our people are our biggest asset; it’s important to us that our people feel valued, included and supported in their professional and personal growth. Inclusion, diversity and collaboration lie at the heart of our corporate culture, and we firmly believe in giving every employee a voice and embracing different perspectives to drive us towards success. Our Group Chief Executive Peter Harrison is the senior sponsor for diversity and inclusion at Schroders. He is personally accountable for ensuring that we foster an inclusive culture which strives for diversity in everything we do, across our entire global workforce.
“Diversity of thought is critical to success in modern business. At Schroders we are going a step beyond simply saying that it is important.”
Group Chief Executive
Key to our identity as an inclusive workplace are our 13 employee-led Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) across the business including gender equality, sexual orientation, disability, mental health, religion and ethnicity groups. Recognising the changing generational dynamics of the workplace, we have set up our newest ERG – Millennials@Work. Members run events to celebrate their heritage and work together to raise awareness around challenges that underrepresented groups might face.
Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is also led in the business both via functional D&I groups and in-country employee-led D&I Councils around the world, including Singapore.
