Schroders and Pinsent Masons are pleased to invite you to our Sustainability-focused Investment In Focus breakfast seminar on Wednesday 8 May.
By 1 October 2019, DB and DC pension schemes have to officially state their policies on "financially material considerations”, including ESG factors, such as climate change, “stewardship” (voting rights and engagement and “non-financial matters” (views of members). According to new rules published by the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) in June 2018, trustees now have to consider their legal duties on ESG, and how to put their views into practice.
Carolyn Saunders and Mark Baker from Pinsent Masons will provide a legal view on SIP changes and how trustees can practically implement ESG policies, taking into account their specific membership profile and member behaviours.
Belinda Gan, Investment Director - Global Sustainability, will lead a discussion about how future sustainability risks can be taken into account, and how sustainability can be practically implemented in investment portfolios.
