Over the last decade, sustainability has become an increasingly crucial aspect of investing. Institutional asset owners began to ask about managers’ credentials in integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations a decade ago and these discussions have now become a standard feature of our interactions. Retail investors have also shown an appetite for products that recognize and reflect the relationship between their investments and an ever more challenging social and environmental backdrop.
