Celebrates its 20th anniversary on the New York stock exchange
The Swiss Helvetia Fund, Inc. (NYSE: SWZ) will visit the New York Stock Exchange on October 3, 2007 to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary of listing on the Exchange. The company's common stock was first listed on the New York Stock Exchange on August 27, 1987.
In honor of this special occasion, Samuel B. Witt, III, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, and Rodolphe E. Hottinger, President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, will ring the Closing Bell. Others expected to be in attendance for the Closing Bell ceremony include the company's Board of Directors, executive officers and other invited guests.

Apart from the celebration on the floor of the Exchange, other activities leading up to the ringing of the Closing Bell will be held at the company's headquarters and elsewhere in New York City to mark the anniversary. Prior to the ringing of the Closing Bell, the company will hold its quarterly Board meeting at the Exchange and will host a commemorative dinner to celebrate the past, present and future of The Swiss Helvetia Fund.
