Schroders is proud to sponsor an internship and integration program that exposes transitioning military veterans to corporate culture, provides hands-on job-skill training and experience, and offers enhanced professional and personal development.

As a part of our Veterans Program, talented service leavers gain commercial experience to complement their existing skills, which can then enable them to build long term relationships at Schroders.

Roles and opportunities 

The program runs as a 12 month paid internship from May to May each year. However, this year our program will start June/July 2021. Available roles change each year, but based on their unique skillset and experience, individuals are selected to join one of Schroder’s business areas, including, but not limited to, Marketing, Operations and Technology. All members of the program are given training and development opportunities alongside their interesting and varied day-to-day roles.

Who we’re looking for

To be eligible for this program applicants must have completed a minimum of one year of regular service in the armed forces. We recognize and value the qualities of former service personnel; we are looking for bright individuals with an evidenced background of high achievement. Individuals are expected to be educated to degree level as well as demonstrating leadership, teamwork and problem solving skills, and an interest in the asset management industry.

Global Technology & Change in the America’s exists to serve and support the needs of our businesses in the region and ensure local representation for all key departmental functions. We enjoy close proximity and working relationships with our business counterparts in the US, Canada, Latin America, and Bermuda. In close collaboration with our global peers, we strive to provide superior customer service, data-driven decisions, agile and effective change and delivery programs, and a secure, stable, and high-performing technology platform.

Our key purpose is to provide effective technology and change capabilities to enable the expanding Americas businesses; to support and drive forward the needs of our internal and external stakeholders.

Applicants will have the follow:

  • At least one year of active military service
  • A keen interest in asset management industry
  • Degree qualified, or equivalent
  • Professional, organized, detail oriented and motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Must be self-driven and deliver results based on agreed targets
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
