Rory Bateman
Co-Head of Investment and Head of Equities
Rory joined Schroders in 2008, and was Head of the UK and European team from 2014 to 2019. Rory is Co-Head of Investment alongside Johanna Kyrklund, and they’re both responsible for listed investments within Schroders Asset Management. Rory continues to manage the Equity division and has firmwide responsibility for the ESG team and Data Insights Unit. Previously, he was Continental European Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Carla Bergareche was appointed in June 2023 as Global Head of Wealth, Client Group. She is responsible for the company’s strategy and management of our wealth clients around the world. Having joined Schroders in 1998, she had been the Country Head of Iberia since March 2010.

Meagen Burnett
Group Chief Operating Officer
Meagen joined Schroders in January 2023 as the Deputy Group Chief Operating Officer and became Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) in August 2023, responsible for groupwide operations, technology, workplace solutions and change delivery. Prior to Schroders, Meagen spent 11 years within M&G plc (previously Prudential plc), initially as the COO of the South African Investment business and most recently in the UK as the COO of global Asset Management. Meagen is a qualified Chartered Accountant and previously held various operational, audit, risk and IT control roles within JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and KPMG.

Chris was appointed in June 2023 as Co-Head of Client Group while retaining his existing role as Head of Asia Pacific. Chris re-joined Schroders in January 2023, having previously worked in Schroders for over a decade from 2011, in roles including Australian Director and Head of Product and Distribution, Hong Kong CEO and Head of the Institutional Business for Asia Pacific, and then Australia CEO and Co-Head of Asia Pacific. During his time in Hong Kong, Chris was Chairman of the Pensions Committee and an Executive Committee member for the Investment Funds Association (IFA). He has also lectured in post graduate financial economics at the University of Sydney, and in 2022 was a Non Executive Director of IFM Investors, a major global infrastructure manager.

Sonia Jenkins
Chief People Officer
Sonia joined Schroders in 2020 and was appointed Group People Officer in September 2024. Prior to joining Schroders Sonia worked at Investcorp and Deloitte in senior advisory roles, living and working across five countries and three continents. Louise joined Schroders in 2008 and was appointed Chief of Staff in 2016. Prior to joining Schroders, she formed the Scott King Partnership, an independent business consultancy. She has over 35 years’ experience in management, consulting and coaching. She is responsible for supporting the Group Chief Executive and management team in growing the business in the context of culture and strategy.
Louise Hosking

Louise joined Schroders in 2008 and was appointed Chief of Staff in 2016. Prior to joining Schroders, she formed the Scott King Partnership, an independent business consultancy. She has over 35 years’ experience in management, consulting and coaching. She is responsible for supporting the Group Chief Executive and management team in growing the business in the context of culture and strategy.
Andy Howard
Global Head of Sustainable Investment
Andy joined Schroders in 2016, becoming the Global Head of Sustainable Investment in 2020. Andy has spent most of his career working in sustainable finance, including six years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director and Head of the GS SUSTAIN research team in London. Andy has driven our sustainability research and been the inventor, as well as inspiration behind proprietary tools such as SustainEx.

Johanna Kyrklund

Johanna Kyrklund is Co-Head of Investment & Group Chief Investment Officer at Schroders, she oversees investment performance, philosophy and process for all asset classes (excluding private assets). Johanna is responsible for investments on behalf of Multi-Asset clients globally. She joined Schroders in 2007 and is based in London.
Johanna was Fund Manager at Insight Investment from 2005 to 2007, which involved managing an unconstrained global macro absolute return fund.
She was Head of Asset Allocation at Deutsche Asset Management from 1997 to 2005, which involved managing asset allocation in the UK and fund manager of the Deutsche tactical asset allocation fund.
Johanna is a member of the Schroders Group Management Committee which oversees the development and delivery of Schroders’ overall business strategy. Johanna chairs the Global Asset Allocation Committee and is a member of the Christ Church Investment Committee and Railpen Investment Board.
Qualifications: CFA Charterholder; BA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University.

Lesley-Ann joined Schroders in 2011 and fulfilled the roles of Head of Global Strategic Solutions and Global Head of DC and Retirement in Distribution (now named Client Group) and then Head of Multi-Asset Strategy in the Investment Division. Jamie is also a Non-Executive Director of the software as a service ticketing company Spektrix.

James Rainbow

In early 2019, James was acting Chief Executive of the new Wealth Joint Venture between Lloyds and Schroders, Schroders Personal Wealth. He returned to Schroders in October 2019 following his promotion. Prior to this, James was Co-Head of UK Intermediary Business at Schroders, Chief Executive of Schroder Unit Trusts and a non-executive Director of Benchmark Capital. James was appointed Head of UK in June 2023.

Beth Saint
Global Head of Marketing and Communications
Beth joined Schroders in 2008 and worked in a variety of client channel media relations roles before becoming Head of Communications in 2014. She is now Global Head of Marketing and Communications, which involves articulating and delivering strategic vision for Marketing and Communications for the Group globally and working closely with the teams who are responsible for product development, strategy and investment capabilities, to provide insights which help the Group understand and anticipate client demand patterns and needs. Prior to Schroders, Beth held communications roles at Aviva Investors before moving to the UK in 2004. She spent her early career in corporate communications roles in Australia.

Karine Szenberg

Karine was appointed co-Head of Client Group in June 2023, based in Paris. Prior to this Karine was Global Head of Product and Marketing and Head of Europe.

She is currently a member of the Group Management Committee, Director of Schroder Real Estate (France), a member of the Supervisory Board of Schroder Aida (infrastructure finance) and a board member of the APECI (Professional Association of Investment Advisory Firms, France). She is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schroder Investment Management (Switzerland) AG. Prior to joining Schroders, Karine was with JP Morgan AM for 14 years, nine of which were as Head of France.
