We want you to develop an enjoyable, sustainable career in investment management. That’s why we’ve developed our graduate programme to give you the expertise, skills and exposure you need to build a long-term future.

For all our graduates it starts with a full-on induction into investment management and the way we work at Schroders. This is a great opportunity for networking – you won’t just meet your peers, you’ll have contact with some of the most senior people in the business. It’s also where you’ll take your first professional qualification – the IMC (Investment Management Certificate).

We’ve created an open culture where your integrity’s valued and where relationships are based on trust. A culture that encourages you to achieve your best in work and to develop a rewarding life outside it. So you can make your own career decisions in the knowledge that your progress is based on merit.

Further training

Following your induction, which you’ll do with all the other new graduates from across our global programme, you’ll join your department, where you’ll be right at the heart of your team, involved in live projects from the off. And the training doesn’t stop. You’ll have on-going expert technical training that makes sure you develop the skills you need. At the same time you’ll be encouraged – and supported – to study for a relevant professional qualification.

This sets the tone for your future career. We make a long-term investment in your skills, with full support for your continuous learning. From day one you’ll also have a mentor who can advise and guide you throughout your career. And you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop and diversify across our business, which covers 37 global locations.

Who we’re looking for

First of all, you’ll need a strong academic record, including a 2:1 degree or above in any subject. But we’re just as interested in your personal qualities. Your intellectual curiosity and appetite for challenge. Your capacity to make your own decisions based on thorough research. Your open-minded approach to fresh ideas. And your ability to adapt to new opportunities.

Our graduate programmes cover a number of different business areas, including Finance, Distribution and Product, Tech, Wealth Management, Real Estate and Risk and Compliance, with opportunities in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Luxembourg.
