A financial adviser answers and asks the right questions

Before any investment, it’s worth getting clarity on what you want to get out of it. Different people have different goals, time frames and risk/reward tolerances, for starters. If you’re unsure of what’s best for you, a financial adviser should be your first port of call. They’ll give you independent advice based on your specific situation, and help you choose the products that best fit your needs. (If you need help finding one, you can look at the link below.)

Invest instantly through an online platform

If you’ve chosen a fund to invest in independently and don’t require advice, there’s the option of investing through an online UK platform. We’ve listed some of the websites below. (Note that we’re not recommending or endorsing these companies, who are completely separate to us, and we’re not responsible for anything you might find on their websites.)

Historical ongoing charges: Schroders funds incur a range of ongoing charges. A detailed breakdown of the charges and costs of our funds is available here.

Non-trading days : Schroders' funds which are registered and priced in the UK will not be priced on days classified as legal holidays in England and Wales.

Returning unclaimed client money: We hold client money in respect of clients of Schroder Investment Management Limited and Schroder Unit Trusts Limited with whom we have lost contact or who have not cashed redemption and distribution cheques previously sent to them.
