Expert team

Our team-based investment approach draws on a consistent philosophy of rigorous and forward-looking investing, as well as an extensive investment research capability.

A multi-asset fund with a dynamic asset allocation approach to adapt to changing market conditions.

The investment team manages exposures to different asset classes based on a forward-looking valuation process, to provide both diversification and risk control with the aim of delivering steady income for investors.

The Schroder Multi-Asset Income Fund’s investment universe is relatively unconstrained to allow it the flexibility to effectively and efficiently allocate to and select those assets that, in combination, maximise the opportunities to achieve its return target while maintaining the benefits of diversification in all market environments. We take an approach that continuously evaluates the potential cyclical and strategic risks and opportunities of our asset allocation to help investors achieve their investment goals as markets inevitably rise and fall.

About the Schroder Multi-Asset Income Fund

The Schroder Multi-Asset Income Fund aims to help clients meet their portfolio goals by targeting investments that deliver stable income and build capital while seeking to avoid major drawdowns when equity markets fall. The Fund targets a return of 3% to 4% above the RBA’s target cash rate before fees over rolling 3-year periods while minimising the risk of a negative return over a 12-month period.

Why choose the Schroder Multi-Asset Income Fund?

Global markets are susceptible to impacts from a rapidly changing economic environment and heightened geopolitical risks. These shifts can quickly change the investment returns and outlook across all asset classes. In an ever-changing economic environment, a multi-asset fund managed by investment experts with flexibility to tactically adjust asset allocation across a broad range of asset classes to drive returns and manage risk across various stages of the market cycle may be worth considering.

Investing in the Schroder Multi-Asset Income Fund can help investors meet a number of investment goals within a single solution. By investing in an unconstrained investment universe and adopting a flexible asset allocation approach, the investment team is able to quickly adjust the portfolio’s positioning to prepare for varying economic and market conditions, leading to increased opportunity to boost returns during market upturns and mitigate risk during downturns. Due to the Fund’s emphasis on downside risk management and strong focus on capital preservation, this strategy is particularly suitable to investors in retirement.
