Schroder Real Return Fund
Helping to achieve your income and capital protection goals with the Schroder Real Return Fund (Wholesale Class APIR SCH0047AU).Diversification built-in
By diversifying across a wide range of asset classes, sectors and regions and actively managing the asset allocation, the fund seeks to achieve long-term growth and manage downside risks as markets rise and fall.
Portfolio protection
The Fund thoughtfully selects investments across its unconstrained investment universe with the specific goal of achieving a real return relative to inflation and minimising losses across various stages of the market cycle.
A versatile choice
Offering stable returns and diversification while minimising undue risk, the Fund is suited to a wide range of portfolios.
A multi-asset fund designed for a complex investing environment
Volatile markets can quickly erode wealth. As an objective-based strategy and multi-asset solution, the Schroder Real Return Fund aims to deliver stable returns and mitigate any inherent downside risk within the Fund by incorporating a multi-factor risk management framework. Our investment approach goes beyond comparing returns to peers or indices. Instead, we place greater importance on wealth preservation as this can be as material to investment outcomes as the return target. Achieving these objectives requires astute and active asset allocation across the Fund’s unconstrained investment universe to be well positioned through different market cycles.
As well as conducting deep research into traditional asset classes, our team looks beyond equities and bonds to identify new opportunities to increase returns and minimise risk. This includes investigating new techniques and instruments for investing.

A diversifier
An excellent diversifier to an existing portfolio offering exposure to a wide range of asset classes within a single solution.
A total portfolio solution
Effective as a whole portfolio solution, especially for those seeking an easy and relatively affordable way to diversify across the global investment universe or for those approaching retirement or in retirement, due to the focus on mitigating downside risk and capital preservation.
Likely
The Schroder Real Return Fund is likely to be appropriate for a consumer seeking capital preservation and income for all or some components of their portfolio, with a medium to high risk and return profile.
Unlikely
The Fund is unlikely to be suitable for a consumer seeking capital guarantee or for consumers with a very high risk and return profile or with a short investment timeframe.
