Helen

After a recent divorce, Helen wanted to take back control of her finances so that she could focus on what mattered to her most: her family and her art.

After a recent divorce, Helen wanted to take back control of her finances so that she could focus on what mattered to her most. While she had received a generous settlement, Helen had previously focused her energy on her family and passion for art. She had limited interest in financial matters or desire to be involved in her investments going forward. Helen was seeking an independent and pragmatic approach to her finances and a comprehensive financial plan. This included investing to provide the ‘income’ she aspired to efficiently manage international properties, future-proofing her lifestyle, finding the right educational paths for her children as well as managing their respective portfolios. Having time to pursue her creative passions was key.

The solutions we offered her included:

– A long-term financial plan

– Management of investments

– Strategic real estate advice

– Co-ordinating tax, wills, financial planning

– Introductions into an ecosystem of networks, particularly property management and art

We coordinated every aspect of Helen’s financial plan. With our help, she re-designed and refurbished her London home. We also re-evaluated her international property portfolio. This included arranging sales, optimising rental values and ongoing property management to provide her with a regular income. We currently oversee and manage Helen’s financial ‘balance sheet’. Our introductions helped her in managing her properties and arranging insurance. Most importantly, we have given Helen time to dedicate to her family and art.

Divorce can be challenging and complex. We support clients throughout that journey. Our job is to make our clients feel at ease, meeting them as often as they need, and taking time to ensure we support every aspect of their lives.
