Armed forces programme

A six-month programme for service leavers looking to gain commercial experience and complement your existing skills.

Start a new career in a supportive, dynamic environment

We have a number of experienced professional openings that might be of interest. And we can tailor your level of support to you.

We open applications in March to start in May

You’re eligible to apply as long as you’ve completed at least one year of regular, active service in the armed forces.

Open roles and opportunities change every year

You could work in one of a variety of areas including: sustainability, wealth management, infrastructure, project and change management, or technology. Whichever you pursue, it’s a great stepping stone to other roles down the line, too.

Grow, develop, and network

You’ll also have access to our online learning platform which will help you continue to develop your expertise.

From day one, along with support from your manager and mentors, you’ll be able to access to a network of fellow former Armed Forces members to help you integrate into the business.

After first winning the bronze and the silver, we won the MOD Employer Engagement Gold Award in 2019. And we’re not resting on our laurels. Our scheme continues to attract many more applicants than we have places - and most of those who complete six-month internships remain at Schroders.
