Global Investor Study 2023

Higher interest rates and inflation are creating a new investment landscape. This global study shows how more than 23,000 people worldwide are adjusting strategy, as well as the impact on issues such as sustainable investment.

The economic shocks of 2022 had a profound market impact — and the effects are still being felt. Most people in the 33 countries and territories surveyed have switched strategies — but around a third have yet to adapt. This is the multitasking challenge of investing in 2023: adjusting to the new economic reality while seizing opportunities such as sustainability and private assets.

Schroders commissioned alan. agency and iResearch to conduct an independent online survey of more than 23,000 people who invest from 33 countries and territories around the globe, spanning Europe, Asia and the Americas. The survey was conducted online between May 26 and July 31 2023.

For statistical information about the survey, see the end of this report.
