The search for missing Boyan Petrov has ended

The rescue operation began two days after Boyan Petrov was declared missing. The mountaineer was last seen on 3 May at 7,500 metres above sea level. Chinese rescue services and a helicopter from Nepal had been launched in the mission, an unprecedented collaboration between the two states, according to Bulgarian coordinators.

His exemplary bravery, curiosity and determination have been an inspiration for all of us. We express our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Schroders and Karoll Capital Management supported Boyan Petrov's project "Bulgarian at 14 x 8000", which consisted of climbing all the summits of the planet that exceeded the mythical 8,000-metre mark. He already had 10 to his credit.
