Parmy was named as the winner of the Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year for 'Supremacy: AI, ChatGPT and the Race That Will Change the World', published by Macmillan Business (UK), St. Martin’s Press (US).
Our outgoing Chief Executive, Peter Harrison, presented the award to Parmy at an event that featured a thoughtful keynote speech from Sharon White, former Chairman of John Lewis Partnership.
About this year's winner
Parmy Olson's Supremacy was named the 20th winner of the Business Book of the Year Award on Monday 9 December. Olson's book charts the genesis of articifical intelligence and the rivalry between the founds of OpenAI and Google DeepMind. Peter Harrison, outgoing Group Chief Executive said the book provided “deep insights into the defining technology of our age that are impossible to find elsewhere”.
