Christmas Quiz 2017, Part 1

Enter our festive value quiz for a chance to win a £100 donation to charity

The Value Perspective team

This week, The Value Perspective will run a total of 20 questions based loosely – sometimes very loosely – on the theme of the hunt for hidden value, which we have touched on in articles such as Unearthing hidden value in baseball and investment.

Each day, half the questions will be cryptic crossword clues that lead to the names of value investors who have cropped up on this site over the course of 2017.

If you find yourself stuck, the date by each of those clues relates to an article in which the relevant name appears.

Then, as this is a festive quiz, the remaining questions are anagrams of Christmas carols.

Please email your full set of 20 answers to and all correct entries received by noon on 31 December 2017 will be included in a draw to win a £100 donation to a registered charity of your choice.

Here on The Value Perspective, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our visitors for their continued support and to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
